Morning Skincare Routine – the update

Some of you have suggested that I should do an updated post on my skincare routine as it probably has changed a bit over the last months. I still use a lot of my beloved staples but also have some new additions to my beauty collection. I’ve decided to start with presenting the skincare products I usually use in the morning.

So I’ll start of by saying that I have sensitive skin that tends to get a bit dry in winter and dehydrated in summer. To maintain a good skin care routine it is important to find good products that works for your skin type.

First thing, I clean my face and neck with the Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish which is a gentlecreamy cleanser that works great for my skin type. I’ve been using this cleanser for about 2 years now and I absolutely love it. I apply it directly to dry skin, leave it on for about a minute, then rinse it off with lukewarm water (never too hot or too cold). Sometimes I remove my cleanser with a muslin cloth for a gentle exfoliating effect. Another product I also love is the Konjac Sponge, which I often use in the mornings as well, it is supposed to stimulates blood flow and activate skin renewal (you can read my full review here.) After cleansing I spritz on some of my new amazing toner from Pai Skincare. I use the Lotus & Orange Blossom toner which is supposed to soothe, tone and hydrate. It is also alcohol-free which I love. The reason why I never used toners before was because most of them are full of alcohol.

After toning my skin feels fresh and clean and I apply my regular moisturizer, right now I’m obsessed with the Clarins HydraQuench Cream which is perfect for summer and my skin type, it’s light but super hydrating. I also use the Chamomile & Roseship Sensitive Skin Cream from Pai Skincare which I’ve just recently discovered, so far I’m very impressed. On sunny days I’ll use a moisturizer with spf or a sunscreen. Right now I’m looking for a new one as I’ve just ran out of the ones I had. I want to find a good one (without these ingredients) so please let me know if you have any suggestions. I also apply a hydrating and firming eye cream and right now I’m using the Ole Henriksen Total Truth Eye Cream spf15. When applying eye cream I use my ring finger because it’s the weakest, and too much pressure causes more wrinkles.

So there you have it, my morning skincare routine! A follow-up post on my evening routine will come soon. If you have any questions, please feel free to comment below! :)

hurra, kjempefin post!

Never thought to use a sponge like that as an exfoliant!
Been using one of those scrubs weekly, but it always leaves my skin
feeling strange. A softer, daily exfoliant might be the

There’s no need to spend a fortune on pricey skin care
ointments when you can create most of the stuff yourself from your
kitchen. It’s pretty easy with everyday ingredients. –

Hi! I love your blog and I think it’s really a pity you don’t do blogposts more often. :(
But I had a little question.. I’m trying the testers of Pai creams now and they finish very quickly, so I was wondering how long the 30ml package lasts?

Enjoyed your skincare routine. You mentioned using an SPF moisturizer on sunny days, but have you considered you should where sunscreen on cloud – even rainy days – too. Those bad sun rays come through even through the clouds to damage skin.
