Last night I decided to use only Chanel products on my eyes, all from the 2012 summer collection. First, let’s start with the Sable-Emouvant Eye Shadow Duo. My first impressions when I saw preview images was – another neutral eyeshadow palette (not that I have anything against them). But I changed my mind once I swatched it at the counter. In indoors lighting, Sable-Emouvant duo appears as a rich chocolate and creamy beige with fine shimmers, once in the sunlight you can see the beautiful shimmers come to life.
Colour-wise, the #37 Sable-Emouvant eyeshadow duo is a winner. The slightly copperish chocolate brown with the champagne shade is elegant and flattering. This is definitely one of the most universally flattering eyeshadow duos I’ve ever come across. These eyeshadow powders are also exceptionally fine and silky smooth. The texture and pigmentation are simply divine. I absolutely love the beige shade, especially as it seems to turns gold when you step into the bright sunlight – perfect for summer. The chocolate brown shade becomes more intense as well.
I’m definitely a huge fan of Sable-Emouvant, it’s a very chic eyeshadow duo. It is also my first eyeshadow duo purchase from Chanel and it is easily one of my favorite items in the collection. If you love neutral shades like me, I’m sure you’ll love Sable-Emouvant.
I also used a little bit of the Chanel Brun Intense #47 Eyeliner, which is also part of the summer 2012 makeup collection and coordinates beautifully with the Chanel Sable-Emvouyant Eyeshadow. The pencil has a smudger at one end and comes with a sharpener – essential since the soft pencil does get rounded quite fast, though I haven’t lost much product to sharpening. This pencil is a deep brown with subtle sparkle and a combination of both gold and red – this is definitely not your ordinary brown eyeliner. The texture is soft, and it is very easy to get an even, intense line of color.
I also used a bit of the Inimitable Intense Mascara from Chanel which I had a sample of. The mascara is really easy to apply and doesn’t flake or smudge at all. It gives great volume without sticking the eyelashes together at all, it also lengthens a lot. Love it!
All in all, I love all three of these products from Chanel and they are all become favorites in my makeup collection. I’m especially in love with the eye shadow duo and if you are going to purchase anything from the Chanel 2012 summer collection, then I recommend the Sable-Emouvant eyeshadow duo. My eyes are sensitive and can easily be irritated by eye makeup that is too harsh, but all three of these products works well for me. All of these products are unique, they are very easy to work with and has a long lasting power.
What about you guys? Any experiences with the products above or the Chanel 2012 summer collection?
