Monday Beauty Tip #10: Puffy Eyes Rescue

Puffy eyes are not very flattering and can be the result of a late night, stress, too little water or just the natural aging process. Whatever their cause, you can treat them quickly and easily – a remedy that is an alternative to the old cucumber is tea bags. Just save up your tea bags (chamomile or green), and you’ll have a natural home remedy for puffy eyes whenever needed.

Placing brewed tea bags onto your eyes for a short time period allows the tannins in the tea to treats puffy eyes and dark circles. The tea bags reduce swelling and tighten the skin around the eyes as well as the caffeine reduces puffiness by shrinking the blood vessels.

All you have to do is to dip two green tea bags into boiling water and drain them. Let them cool in your freezer for a couple of minutes before applying them on your eyes. The antioxidant properties of the tea and the coolness of the bags will help de-puff your eyes and make you look refreshed. Leave the tea bags on your eyes for 5 to 20 minutes. The longer you keep them on your eyes, the more effective they can be. Good luck! :)

Jeg har hørt om dette tipset, men tenkte det var bare tull. Men når du nevner det så må det jo bare prøves – jeg må innrømme at jeg er ei av de som sliter litt med puffy eyes om morgenen!

Great tip! I used that lately in the morning before a friend’s wedding, when I woke up with big, puffy eyes. 30 minutes on the lids after the same time in the fridge for cooling, and it worked like a charm!

Black tea provides both in or out in the body because it helps to lose weight. Gives normal blood flow and lower blood pressure. For the skin, remove puffiness in which other can’t dot he same way. It is safe and affordable.
