How do you keep your body in shape? You look so healthy but you are skinny as well. I love it! Do you eat much candy and fat foods or something? I’m trying to loose a bit of my weight and fat around inner thighs and hip area ;)
First, let me say I’m not an expert in neither nutrition or exercise, so my advices will be based on my experiences.
I loooove candies and sweets, it’s not a surprise that my boyfriend is calling me “gourmand” and “chubby bunny”. Though, I do know how to restrict myself. :)
My “diet” is quite simple. I eat more or less everything I want and I do try to eat my meals every 4 hours (with healthy snacks between). I try to stay away from white bread, pasta, rice and potatoes. I eat a lot of salad, fish, white meat, dark bread and I also try to eat light after 7.00 pm as the body burns less fat at night (usually because you move less), this is easier said than done when living in France where they eat their dinner at 9.00 – 10.00 pm!
I eat a lot of fruits and vegetables as well as I drink a lot of water. I rarely drink any alcohol as this is bad for your body, brain and skin. This means I allow myself to have a glass of wine or two for dinner now and then but I very rarely drink to get drunk (I feel old saying that, but it’s true, hehe).
But most important of all, I listen to my body, and I believe that if you learn to listen long and hard enough to your body, you will become more aware of your own capacity to react to hunger and satiety. Most of us have learned since we were young to “finish our plate”, but now I’ve started to finish when I feel full and satisfied and I don’t feel bad about having food left on my plate. This means eating slowly, it takes about 15-20 minutes for your stomach to send the message to the brain that you are full.
What I do to keep my body in shape, well, not much to be honest, not as much as I should at least. I try to go for a run now and then but actually I hate running so I try to walk a lot instead. As I’m often going between castings during the day I can easily walk 2-3 hours a day. I also LOVE Pilates and I try to do a little bit at home every day. I’ve found this amazing blog where you will find different videos of Pilates workouts, everything from 3 minute ab workout to 25 minutes butt blaster (which is one of my favorite). The girl behind the blog and in the videos, Cassey, is really encouraging and she’s “pushing” you through the workout (almost like a personal trainer). I can promise you that you will feel it in your muscles the day after if you try one of her workouts.
