Hangover Beauty Tips

Party season will soon be upon us, and for many this means a constant drinks, dinners, parties and late nights. A late night party can really take a toll on a woman’s face. Last night was great. You danced until dawn and drank the bar dry. But now you need some serious help to erase the effects of a hangover from hell.

These are not your average how-to-avoid-hangover tips. These are the beauty tips that will help you beat the “hangover face” and look beautiful even if you were partying all night.

Cleansing

You know when you get home from a party and the last thing you want to do is wash your face? Well it might be more important than you think. If you just fall asleep with all that makeup on, you’ll end up with a big surprise in the morning. Before you go to bed remember to clean up your face first. Cleanse thoroughly to get rid of all the party makeup.

Dehydrated Skin

Alcohol is probably worse for your skin (and your body) than you think. It’s the number one dehydrator and your skin is going to be a virtual desert during the party season. To help prevent the face from drying with the hangover dehydration, load your face up with moisturizing cream before you do to bed that night. When you wake up, apply a super-hydrating mask to soothe the previous night’s damage. Lay it on thick and remove it with a dry washcloth using slow, circular motions.

Drink Water

Again, a hangover is caused mostly be being dehydrated, so remember to drink lots of water. When you have a hangover, drinking water can not only help you feel better faster but it can help re-hydrate your skin too, improving your appearance.

Bright Eyes

Next, focus on your eyes. A night on the tiles will have left them blood-shot and smoke-filled. A couple of  “Clear Eyes ” Eyedrops should brighten and revive them instantly. Treat your puffy eyes with a cold eye pack or cucumbers which will help increase blood flow and remove extra fluid.

Hangover Makeup

Now that your skin’s feeling much better, add some color to it but don’t apply a lot of make up the day of a hangover. Try to wear only a little mascara and wet lip color that day of the hangover for a better appearance overall. Use a creamy pink blush on the apples of your cheeks which will give you a nice, healthy glow. If your eyelashes look dry and brittle, treat them to some petroleum jelly which will help to keep them lush and healthy.

Good advice, and so important for this time of year, haha. I always find that my skin looks drained and dull after a night of partying so I apply tinted lip balm and cream blush, like you said. Plus, dry shampoo is a lifesaver.
