Venus Naked Skin IPL – The update

by Hanne on March 3, 2013

Hey beauties. Hope you are having a nice Sunday! So I wrote about the Venus Naked Skin back in December and promised you an update with my thoughts about this treatment after using it for a couple of months. I used it for a total of 2-3 months and I can definitely say I had an undeniable reduction in hair regrowth.

I did a total of 10 treatments and I’m very pleased to say I had about a 90% hair removal in those areas. I should have continued using the system but as I’ve been traveling a lot lately and didn’t have the space to bring it with me I had to stop, the hairs started growing back out in mid/end of February. Treatments should be carried out every 2 weeks for the first couple of months, and then to maintain the hair reduction, it reduces to once a month.

With pale, sensitive skin, I must admit I was nervous about trying this out, but according to the manuals, it is fine for pale skin. There may be a slight stinging sensation during the flash, but this is momentary and is nowhere near as unpleasant as waxing. The Venus Naked Skin is definitely pricey but compared with the cost of getting similar treatments carried out professionally at a salon, and with the knowledge that it will almost entirely reduce hair regrowth, I would definitely say it is a worthwhile investment.

Last but not least I must say this is, as always, my honest opinion and I have not been payed to write this post. I wish I could have shown you some before/after pictures but pictures of my “private area” is not suited on the blog, haha. I will definitely start using this system again soon so that I’m prepared for summer 2013.  If you are wondering how to use the Venus Naked Skin you should check out this video. :-)

I have bought a few things at the German drugstores but I’ve been so busy lately so I haven’t bought too much, which you’ve probably realized from reading the blog. Hopefully I’ll have more products to write about soon! :))

I think that the one and only true solution is laser treatments in a dermatologist.
I’m starting it this week, I hope it will hve results on my skin.
The treatments are once in 45 days for a total of 180 euros for underarms, the bikini aeria and legs from the knee and down. Quite expensive but it will be permanent.

Hi Marvela. Yes laser is said to be permanent unlike IPL which you need to maintain once a month. I think 180 euros sounds quite cheap for a 45 day treatment for underarms, bikini area and legs from knee down, I’ve heard it’s much more expensive than that. I hope it works and that you are happy with the results! :)

Yes, it’s more expensive but here in Greece, due to the economic crisis, prices are now lower on everything.

Hei Hanne! Now that I live in Norway, i dont know any online beauty stores for shopping online…kan du hjelpe meg….????? :-( :-(

Of course, there are many online shops for beauty products, you should check out coverbrands.no, blivakker.no and blush.no. Remember that when you order from other countries you have to pay tax if the value is more than 200kr, so it could be smart to split the products into several orders ;)

Ok, I live in Norway 6 months now and I have realised that norwegian people are sweet and kind (myth about norwegians being distant, have collapsed for me!) BUT YOU ARE THE KINDEST AND SWETEST SINCE YOU ANSWEAR TO EVERY COMMENT AND QUESTION! Just to know, i speak with the best words for you at my homecountry, Greece, and you will start having some fans there too! Especially i Kreta!!

Oh, I’m so happy to hear that! I agree, Norwegians are very kind and genuine, we may seem distant in the outside but that’s just a facade. :) I’ve been to Kreta once, beautiful island! :)
