Monthly Favorites: October

The end of another month means it’s time for my monthly favorites, and this month I’m few days late unfortunately (due to my stressful week).  Here are some of my most used and favorite products from the month of October. :)

Garnier Mineral InvisiCalm Deodorant
I’ve been using deodorants from Nivea for many years (and been very pleased with them) but lately I’ve stared trying different brands, and my conclusion is that most of the budget friendly deodorants are just as good (sometimes even better) than the more expensive ones. This one from Garnier does everything that a deodorant should do. It has a rosy scent which is really discrete and refreshing. Love it!

Redken Body Full Volum Amplifier
I got this product after a modeling job about a month ago and as a girl with very fine hair – who has tried loads of volumizing products – I have to say this spray is amazing. It sprays on in a fine mist almost like it’s nothing but water – no stickiness and no fragrance, just use carefully until you find the ideal amount. There is no build-up or interference with other styling products. This sprays adds long lasting volume while maintaining the lovely silkiness that fine hair has. A more detailed review of the whole Body Full line will come.

Alpha-H Balancing Cleanser
I’ve been using this cleanser from Alpha-H for about a year now and I absolutely love it! I’ve had a break from it for a couple of months and recently repurchased. This is a very gentle, soft and lightly scented cleanser. Despite this it does leave skin feeling well cleansed. I would describe the texture as a lovely light slippery cream that glides over the skin. Unlike other creamy cleansers, this one is not at all thick, heavy or gloopy. It leaves my skin moisturized, clean and soft and it is really pleasant to use as it has no perfume. It removes all traces of makeup, and its formula is gentle enough to use on the eye area to remove eye makeup.

Olay Regenerist Night Resurfacing Elixir
I’ve only been using this product for about a week or so, but so far I really like it. This product is AHA-based (glycolic acid is one of the first ingredients) and I use it every night before going to bed. My face definitely has a nice glow in the morning. A more detailed review will come.

Lush Breath of Fresh Air
I’ve shied away from toners because I thought they were an unnecessary step in my skincare regime, but this one from Lush might have changed my mind. Even if it doesn’t revolutionize my skin it makes me feel so refreshed. The ingredients (sea salt, aloe) are very nice, and it does help to balance moisture on my face. All in all, this is a nice simple, refreshing, moisturising toner with no alcohol.

Nuxe Reve de Miel lip balm
I’ve written about this lip balm from Nuxe before and I’ve just recently started using it again. I use this honey lip balm at night by tapping and then smoothing it onto my lips because it is so thick. It smells lovely and it is actually still there in the morning and my lips feel soft and moisturized. I’ve tried loads of lip balms over the years and this one is one of the few that actually works.

Do you use any of the products above? What are your monthly favorites? :)
