Products Worth The Hype #1

A lot of other bloggers and YouTubers I follow have been doing these “Worth the hype”-posts and I thought I could share some of the products I think are worth the hype and more importantly, worth the money. :)

Bioderma Crealine H2O
This is a very hyped up product but so worth the hype – it will always be a staple product in my beauty collection. It does such a great job removing my makeup and is very gentle, exactly what my normal/sensitive skin needs. No wonder this product is a favorite among makeup artists and models around the world! It is unscented, suited for sensitive skin and gently removes any trace of makeup with just a few swipes. It doesn’t irritate, dry or sting and you’re left with a soft, clean face. I love it!

Xen-Tan Mousse Intense
The self-tanners from Xen-Tan are also very hyped up and no wonder, this is one of the best self-tanners I’ve ever tried. It’s very easy to apply and the light non-sticky foam texture glides on very easily. While tanning lotions take a while to dry this mousse dries almost instantly. I love that there is hardly any smell to this product, there is no chemical smell at all, just a lovely vanilla scent. I’m also very happy to say the product didn’t leave any streaks which can be a huge issue when it comes to self-tanners.

Caudalie Eau de Beaute
I love facial spritzers and this has been my number 1 for about a year now. Eau de Beaute is a 2-in-1 toner and serum, however I use it mostly as a refreshing facial spritz. I love the cool “wake me up” feeling it gives as well as it is hydrating my skin. It has a lovely refreshing smell it contains extracts of grape, rosemary, orange blossom, rose, myrrh and organic balm mint. I like to carry this with me in my handbag but also when I’m traveling or working with my studies.

Laura Mercier Tinted Moisturizer
This was probably one of the first tinted moisturizers, and also the most hyped up on the marked. I love that this tinted moisturizer from Laura Mercier is sheer, very lightweight as well as it gives a little bit of coverage and evens out my skintone. It definitely gives your skin that healthy glow and a natural, dewy finish, which the product is promised to do. It is very pricey but the product also lasts a very long tine (I’ve had mine for 6 months now) and I would definitely say it is worth the hype.

La Roche-Posay Anthelios Sunscreen
I feel like La Roche-Posay sunscreens are very hyped up here in France (so worth it) and it has been my must-have sunscreen for 3 years now. I think this is the most protective sunscreen I’ve come across so far. I’m in particular careful when it comes to protecting my face, neck, chest and hands and I always use La Roche-Posay on these areas. The Anthelios sunscreens contain the ingredients Mexoryl SX or Mexoryl XL, and deliver protection against both UVA and UVB rays. It is very lightweight and does an amazing job protecting my sensitive skin. Read more here.

Do you know the products mentioned above? Any product you’d like to add to my list? :)

I love the bioderma sensibio even with quiet sensitive combination skin! I’d always buy that again. I know la Roche Posay but I havn’t tried the sunscreen so far.
What I would recommand is the Pai Rosehip Oil. I use it every other day with the avene thermal water Spray. Just 3 drops every time. Very economic. Gorgeous smell & great for skin regeneration.

    Me again – sorry :)
Is the Caudalie Spray really THAT good? Not just like Thermal Water or something similiar? Do you find there is a Skin improvement or effect beside the good smell?

Hehe, well it’s not a miracle product but I love it. Yes, I love the smell but it also hydrates my skin and tightens my pores :)

I bought the Bioderma after seeing you recommend it about a gazillion times lol
Provided I have only used it about twice since I don’t wear too much makeup, it totally works as you’ve described :D I have pretty dry and sensitive skin and you’re right, it doesn’t irritate it at all, in fact I think it feels pretty damn good afterwards.

    Hi Hanne,
I haven’t tried any of the products that you have mentioned but I am curious to try the Laura Mercier tinted moisturiser. My favourite overhyped products are the Macadamia Nut oil for hair and the Daily Microfoliant by Demalogica. Totally worth the money for me!!!
    Have a wonderful day,
    Melanie : )

Have a nice day sweetie! Xx

Thanks for the tip about Xen tan. I’m always looking for a better self tanner. Currently using St. Tropez mouse, but it’s tan is too light.

I just wondered how dark the color of the xen tan is? i’m seriously thinking about purchasing it, but i’m just a bit unsure about how dark it is. is it a dramatic effect from the first try, or is it gradually as you apply more? :)

It is quite dark at first, but it should be washed off after 6-7 hours, then it has a beautiful and natural color! :)
