Monthly Favorites: June

I’m a little bit late with my beauty round up this time, but better late than never. These are some of my most used and favorite products from the month of June..

La Roche-Posay Physiological Micellar Solution
I really like this product, it has a very gentle formula which removes make-up, including mascara, very effectively. It doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin and (extremely sensitive) eyes and isn’t drying. It cleanses my skin really well and makes it feel clean and refreshed. This is definitely a good alternative to the Bioderma Crealine H2O. Read my full review here.

Clarins Beauty Flash Balm
This product can be used as a primer before make-up and also as a moisturizing mask, I use it mostly as a primer. Beauty Flash Balm gives a beautiful, healthy glow to the skin as well as it tightens a little, and it smells so good! When using as a primer before make-up only apply a thin layer on your skin without rubbing it in. When using as a mask (1-3 times a week) apply a medium to thick layer and leave on for 10-15 minutes.

Caudalie Vinoperfect Day Perfecting Fluid SPF 15
This not a new product to my collection and most of you have probably seen me write about it before. The Vinoperfect Day Perfecting Fluid form Caudalie has been a favorite for a while now and I especially like to wear it in summer. This is a high performance ‘cream’ that makes my skin become more radiant and smooth. It sinks in super fast and it gives a beautiful glow and sometimes I use it alone and sometimes as a primer. The fact that is has SPF made it a perfect day cream when I was in Brazil.

EOS Lemon Drop Lip Balm
This lip balm smells delicious and the added benefit of SPF 15 is perfect for summer. It really smells refreshing, even after a few minutes on your lips, and leaves your lips feeling moisturized. The formula is quite light-weight and doesn’t require a lot of dragging to apply. Sometimes I use this lip balm to prime my lips before applying lipstick.

La Roche-Posay Anthelios Melt-In Cream SPF 30
I’ve been using the Anthelios Melt-In Cream spf 30 for a while now and even though it has a creamy texture it absorbs super fast into the skin and I’d say it’s rather light. It does feel a tiny bit greasy just after application, but once it absorbs into the skin, it’s really not a problem at all. I often use a little bit of my tinted moisturizer (Laura Mercier and La Roche-Posay) on top and they work great together. This sunscreen is made for sensitive skin and what I like about is that it only feels like a sunscreen for a few minutes, it melts quickly into my skin without leaving behind any smell or visible clue that I’m wearing it.

Estelle & Thild Ecorganic Hand Cream
I use hand creams all year long and especially when I travel as my skin dries very easily inside air planes. This organic hand cream from Estelle & Thild is based on softening shea butter and nutritious almond oil, it protect and soothe the skin, leaving it richly hydrated. This is an easily absorbed hand cream that is very moisturizing and conditioning without being sticky. This cream leaves a lovely scent of neroli and bergamot on your hands, love it!

What about you guys? Did you have any new discoveries in June? Are you familiar with any of the products above?

Jolie routine ! I’m French and you seem to love french skincare ! My summer protocole is very simple : Foaming cleanser by Caudalie, Vita mineral day cream by REN, a light sunscreen SPF 40 by Clarins, and a little amount of lipstick : Coco shine (Chanel) or Kiss kiss (Guerlain) are my current favorites.

    Soon. ;)

I’m so sorry to hear you are sick Adele, hope you will get better soon! <3
Unfortunately I'm not very familiar with matifying day creams (as I don't have oily skin), but I definitely think the Vinoperfect day fluid could work well for you. At Sephora today I also saw that Dr. Brandt has some matifying creams, I've heard it's a very good brand so maybe it could be worth checking out? :)
      Get well soon sweetie! Xx

I just discovered your blog and I really like it! Needless to say, I subscribed :)

You have such an interesting take on beauty products. Any reason you’re more into pharmacy products than (high end or budget) counter products? I’m curious :)

Thank you so much Isabelle! :)
I love both high end /budget products and pharmacy products, but I have to admit I love French pharmacy products, probably because I have sensitive skin and most of their products are made for sensitive skin :)

Clarins Beauty Flash is a long time favorite of mine – don’t know what I would do without it, especially during the business trips :) I tried the La Roche-Posay Micellar water but the Bioderma’s one is the One for me forever :) I love your Beauty round up monthly posts so much <3
