Products I Regret Buying #2

by Hanne on April 1, 2012

I had really high expectations for this product after reading lots of good reviews as well as it is Origins #1 cleanser (according to the SA), however I was very disappointed after my first use and haven’t got myself to even try to use it again after.

Just as soon as I started to rinse the cleanser off, i noticed this film, weird layer on my face. I also noticed that my face was unusually dry. I really felt like it stripped my skin of all its natural oils and dried it out like crazy. It left a very squeaky dry feeling to my skin that felt somewhat like a mask. I’ve never experiences this feeling after cleansing before and I just can’t understand if this is how it is really supposed to be or if it was a total mismatch with my skin.
I really wanted to make this cleanser work because I loved the smell and texture, but unfortunately there is nothing else that is good about it. It might work well for people with very oily skin but for me it was really not a good match!

Do you have any experiences with this cleanser?

I felt the same way about this cleanser. I had such high hopes and wanted to like it, but it always makes my skin feel so uncomfortable. I just started following your blog and I’ve read so many of your older posts. I love them! :)

No I’m not sure, but I know for sure it doesn’t go with dry/sensitive skin which I have. If you are interested in trying this I’d ask for a sample before buying, then you’re sure! :)

Yes I totally agree ! I love massaging it onto my face as it’s so lathery and creamy and smells nice but once rinsed off it leaves my skin so tight ! So yeah thankfully I got it in a set with the origins a perfect world moisturizer which is my fav line from origins especially the serum and cleanser, and was also coming with the modern friction nature’s gentle dermabraison which I really hate as it is so thick and sticky ! Awful !

I haven’t tried other products from Origins, but I’m definitely interested in trying their moisturizers! :)

I bought this a while ago and at first I liked it but then it started drying out my skin too.

The best cleanser I’ve ever used is Elemis Pro Radiance Cream Cleanser. It leaves my skin clean but never stripped from moisture. I love it and have repurchased it a few times so far – something I rarely do! xx

I’ve been wanting to try the Elemis Pro Radiance Cream Cleanser (I have a thing for cleansers) for a while and after your recommendation I think I have to go and order it! :)

Really?? I have the opposite reaction to this product. For years, Ive been sneaking and using my sister’s C&B, when I used to live with her. I saw that Origins had a deal so I bought 2. Ive always loved the way it made my skin feel [a little tight, yes]. I always followed up with a Elizabeth Arden moisturizer and I was good to go! I guess you reap what you sow because I went on a trip with a fashion team and I left my C&B in the shower, when I was getting ready to pack up, it was gone :-/

Svir skikkelig i øynene.

Meeen, nattkremen deres Night-a-mins, øyekremen Gin Zing, skrubben Modern Friction og kremen A Perfect World er alle fantastiske produkter. Anbefales!!
