Monthly Favorites: February

It’s time for my February ‘Beauty Round-Up’ and I have to say, this month has passed by so quickly! For this ‘Beauty Round-Up’ I have a little bit of everything, makeup, skincare and hair products.

The Balm Meet Matt(e) eye shadow palette
This is my first product from The Balm I’m very pleased so far. I really like this matte eye shadow palette and I’ve been using it almost every day for the past two weeks, both on my eyes and eye brows. Meet Matt(e) is very basic and the perfect portable size The color range is also perfect, from dark navy and brown to lighter highlight colors. The consistency and pigmentation of these eye shadows are excellent as well!

Make Up For Ever Iridescent Compact Powder
This is an luminizing compact powder but I have it in a pretty dark shade (#6 I think) and use it as a bronzing powder instead. It is very slightly shimmery and gives a beautiful tanned, glowing complexion to the skin without being too overpowering.

Philip Kingsley Elasticizer hair treatment
I find pre-shampoo treatments a bit of a pain, however the results are excellent and well worth it! I apply it to damped hair and leave it on for about 15 minutes – longer if possible, then shampoo, condition and style as usual. It adds a lot of moisture to my hair without weighing it down. Love this products! A full review will come soon.

Bioderma Crealine H2O
No surprise this month either. This product will probably always be along my monthly favorites, I use it every day and I love it. No doubt this is the best and most gently makeup remover there is – say no more. :)

YSL Rouge Volupte Perle lipstick
I usually prefer matte tones but pearl is a good name for this; It reflects light beautifully without being shimmery or packing too much glitter. It is creamy smooth and lovely and the packaging is absolutely gorgeous. The only downside about this product is it’s lasting power, I have to reapply pretty often.

KMS Hair Play Makeover Spray Dry Shampoo
This is the best dry shampoo I’ve ever tried! This product makes my hair look clean and styled between washes; it lifts my hair at the roots and seems to remove any oil from scalp. It smells fantastic and doesn’t leave that white-ish grey residue like a lot of other dry shampoo does. The Makeover Spray is a perfect balance of what you need in a dry shampoo.

Nubo Cell Dynamic Velvet Cleansing Cream
I love this cleanser and I’ve been using it both morning and night for the past weeks. This product is a pure luxury to use and not only cleans the skin, but also leaves it feeling silky smooth and hydrated. This product is amazing and my skin is loving it! Full review is coming soon.

La-Roche Posay Cicaplast Skin Recovery Accelerator
This multi-purpose skin reconstructor is does wonders for my skin at this time of the year, it heals dry patches, chapped skin, and irritations. It has a gel-like consistency that feels almost velvety when it sinks into your skin. I’ve been using it on a scar that I’ve had on my nose since I was 6 years old and it has definitely become less visible after started using this product!

That Philip Kingsley Elasticizer hair treatment
sounds like a great product. As for matte eye shadows, Too Faced has a nice palette, I plan to get it myself.
