Monday Beauty Tip #6: Beauty Sleep

This is definitely one of the most effective beauty tips – and one that you’ve probably heard before! Sleep is essential to keep you physically and mentally healthy. According to a new study people deprived of sleep for long periods appear less attractive and more unhealthy than those who are well rested! Everything from wrinkles and weight gain to skin and hair appearance can be negatively altered by those missing hours of rest.

Too little sleep is bad for your health and your image; it can make you ineffective (it impairs performance, judgment, and the ability to pay attention), sick (it weakens your immune system), and overweight. In fact, women who slept five hours or less a night were a third more likely to gain 15 kilos or more over 16 years than women who slept seven hours, according to a Harvard Nurses’ Health Study.

In the end, the better sleep you get the more attractive you’ll be. Being well rested gives your body more energy and more time to restore itself throughout the night. Sweet dreams and take care of yourself!
