Monday Beauty Tip #3: Avoid Sleep Wrinkles

We all may have different patterns of sleeping but one thing is common to all – the pillows. We all like to cuddle to our pillows and bury our head in them after a long day. You may find this comfortable but sleep wrinkles are caused due to sleeping with your face against a pillow. Pressing your face against a hard pillow cause creases on your skin and when this action is repeated night after night the creases take the form of permanent lines.

My first tip to prevent wrinkles while sleeping is probably the most effective – sleep on your back!

If sleeping on your back is difficult I would recommend you to invest in a satin pillowcase. Unlike most cotton pillowcases, satin creates fewer compression wrinkles in your face while you sleep. Also, satin is less absorbent than cotton. Which means, a satin pillowcase absorbs less natural oils and moisture from the surface of your skin and less of your expensive night creams!

TIP: Be sure to get a pillowcase made with silk-based satin, as opposed to synthetic.

    Godt tips – jeg våkner altfor ofte med rare merker i ansiktet som ikke forsvinner på et par timer og da er det alltid litt småflaut å bevege seg rundt i omverden før de forsvinner ;)

    Bra tips, er fullt klar over det, men eg får så elektrisk hår av silke eg og ser ut som eit lykketroll på morningen om eg bruker et sånt putetrekk.. men eg ligger -alltid- på sida og med ansiktet ned, så eg burde vel lære meg å sove meir på ryggen :)
