Review: Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk Foundation

I wanted to write a review about my new favorite foundation – the Luminous Silk Foundation from Giorgio Armani. I’ve used it a lot at photoshoots and the makeup-artists I work with only have great things to say about this foundation!

I usually prefer a liquid foundation as I like a soft, dewy finish – and I think that only a liquid foundation can deliver that. The texture of this product is definitely one of the most elegant I have ever used. It doesn’t crease and does produce a beautiful luminous glow to the skin. It is very easy to apply as well as it stays on all day without drying.
The beauty in this foundation is that it’s buildable. If you use only a little it’s still possible to see your skin underneath (as if you have no makeup – but in really good lighting). For evenings or just occasions where you want to look more “made up” just apply more, you will still look natural – not overdone or like some kind of wax figure.

The range of shades is fantastic! I have the color 3,75 which is almost a perfect match for me now (it can be a tiny bit too pink). For summer I will probably change to a 4.

Overall I’m very happy with this product! I love how it gives my skin a beautiful glow in a natural way. This foundation doesn’t clog my pores and it haven’t caused any break outs.
The only drawback about this product must be the price, but like most things in life – you get what you pay for.
