Coconut Water Benefits

I was sitting on the beach here in Ipanema earlier, sipping my coconut water and thought I’d write a post about all it’s health benefits. Coconut water is naturally low in calories and fat-free and I try to drink it as much as possible when I’m in Brazil. They sell it everywhere here and it is one of the best drinks to hydrate your body, perfect for a hot day at the beach.
Coconut water’s electrolyte content is very similar to human plasma, and therefore making it a fantastic sports drink, giving you oral re hydration. This is a far better sports drink then the commercial one’s available.

It is rich in minerals such as; sodium, calcium, magnesium, iron, copper phosphorus, potassium, proteins, vitamins C and B, glucose (a type of sugar found in the blood),  contains no fat, and despite its sweet taste it is very low in natural occurring sugar.
