Hello sweethearts! Hope you had a wonderful Pentecost weekend, here in Norway today is also holiday and I’ve spent the weekend in beautiful and sunny Lillehammer with my family and boyfriend. This picture is taken on Saturday on my balcony in Oslo. The last couple of days have been amazing here with 25 degrees and sunny!

I guess most of you have realized that I’ve had a really busy period lately, therefor the lack of blog posts. I really wish I had more time but with work, travelling and two upcoming exams I just haven’t had time and had to put my blog at the bottom of the list, unfortunately. I have my first exam on Thursday and then the next the week after, I’m also moving out of my apartment in Oslo so I have such a stressful time right now.
So, this means it will continue to be a bit quiet on the blog, but when all of this is over I’ll try to go back to blogging like I used to. Hope you guys understand.. :)
You can still follow me on Instagram where I post pictures almost every day, my username is @byhanne.

Hello beauties! Hope you had a nice weekend! I’m in beautiful Trondheim, I came on Friday night, surprising my best friend who is pregnant! Anyways, I’ve gathered together a few products that I’m about to finish, here are my thoughts about them.

Redken Body Full Shampoo
I wasn’t a huge fan of this shampoo at first but I’ve grown to love it. The shampoo definitely does what it’s supposed to do – it gives volume to my fine, limp hair – but it can be a bit drying in the winter months. I love that it leaves my hair full of volume, light and airy. Definitely a good volume shampoo for summer.
L’Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream
I love this hand cream and it’s one of the few products I keep repurchasing. It has a lot of moisture, absorbs easily with no stickiness and has a pleasant scent. After use my hands feel moisturized for hours and as an added bonus, it seems to hold up very well to hand washing!
Phyto Phytobaume Hydration Conditioner
This conditioner has also become a staple in my beauty collection. It is definitely one of the best conditioners I’ve tried for my thin, fine hair. What I lover about it is that it conditions just enough so that I can untangle my hair without problems, but without weighing the hair down. This probably works best on fine hair, so if you have fine hair like me I would definitely give it a try. It does not weight it down at all like a lot of other silicone based conditioners does.
Dr. Hauschka Quince Day Cream
This cream is light-weight but intensely moisturizing. I love the citrusy sweet scent and my skin feels really hydrated after use and looks radiant. It also leaves a great base for foundation. I just realized this cream has a lot of alcohol in it (why Dr. Hauscka?) so I’m not sure I will repurchase. Also I think it’s better suited for cool weather so I might wait until autumn before I repurchase.
What about you guys? Which products did you recently use up?

Last week I did a lookbook for a small boutique shop and Yesterday I received their “behind the scenes” pictures and thought I’d share them with you – so that you can get a sneak peek into my life as a model. Normally lookbooks can be quite boring as the poses are very straight and simple, but this one was different and I think I’ll get lots of cool pictures for my book.

The lookbook was for Avenue Boutique and they have lots of different brands, definitely worth checking out if you find yourself in Richmond, London! The photographer was the amazing Joseph Sinclair, such a good photographer to work with! :)

A while ago a makeup artist I worked with introduced me to Illamasqua and I’ve been re-discovering it since I came to London. The Powder Blusher Duo is a gorgeous compact with a mirror and contains two beautiful matt shades called Lover and Hussy. Yes the colors are extremely bright and highly pigmented, but also very versatile – and perfect for spring time!

Lover is a corally orange color described as “soft apricot” and I picture it will work well on those with warm undertones. Hussy is a blue-based bright pink described as a “candy pink”. These blushers are extremely pigmented but also very smooth and easy to blend to get just a hint of color to your skin. I must admit, they do look pretty dark and scary but I find them much better than paler shades that need a lot of product to build up a decent result. A little goes a long way and these blushers will probably last forever.

I get my best and most natural-looking results with these when I apply one layer using a circular motion, really buffing and working them into the skin with my brush. For now, Hussy is the shade I have been using the most, but I picture myself using Lover a lot in summer when I’m more tanned.
Have you tried any Illamasqua products before? Do you use blushers? :)

Hello! Sorry for my lack of blog posts lately, I’m having some super busy days in London, running between castings, go-sees, test shoots and jobs. I definitely came to London at the right time, I’ve been so lucky with the weather and the spring is so beautiful here with all the blooming trees! Here are some snapshots I took with my phone today..

I went with a group of Norwegian friends to the Sloan Square food market and had an amazing veggie rainbow salad, so yummie! There were so many temptations at this market, my friend had a macadamia, cheese cake which looked heavenly! I finished my day with a run in the neighbourhood and now I’m just at home, having a relaxing Saturday night. Hope you are having a lovely weekend beauties!
I still haven’t done any sightseeing in London, what should I see? Feel free to come with some advices! Non-touristic places are also welcome :)

Here are some of the products from my lip department that I’m using the most on a daily basis. First off I have to say I’m so happy I got the Popcorn lip scrub from Lush, it really does what it’s supposed to do and leaves my lips velvety soft. I don’t lick it off even though it’s edible, I don’t really feel like “eating” my dead skin. Anyway, great product that I would highly recommend! The next product on my list is one that I also discovered recently, the Kiko Smart Lipstick in #900. I love Kiko Cosmetics and just found out there’s one just around the corner to where I live. I was looking for a nude lipstick and this is one is very similar to MAC Hue – for only a fraction of the price (3-4 pounds I think). Next product up is the Clarins Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector 01 which is a staple products in my beauty routine. I absolutely love this lip balm, it gives a lovely, natural sheen to the lips and is not too glossy. Next product is one that I also just got recently, the Burt’s Bees Rejuvenating Lip Balm with Acai Berry. I was looking for their lip balm with honey as that’s the one I normally use but as they didn’t have it at Boots I decided to give this one a try. I love the scent and how smooth it is when applied, however I prefer the texture of the Burt’s Bees Honey Lip Balm. Next up is also a lip balm, the Blistex Classic Lip Protector, it’s not my favorite but one that I always keep in one of my bags. My lips recovers really fast if they are dry and I don’t feel the need to put more and more and more on. Last but not least is a product that I love and have started using more and more lately, Chanel Scintillantes Glossimer in Allégorie 347 which was a part of Chanel’s Holiday 2012 collection. This is sheer transparent light sparkle pink lip gloss which looks great on top of lipsticks or alone.
What about you guys? If you take a look in your lip department, which products have you used the most lately? :)
